Snapchat creators with a public profile show their subscriber count on it. It is the audience number for the platform, and it is on a page anyone can open.
What the official API asks of you
A partnership. Snapchat's developer platform is split between the Marketing API for ads, Snap Kit for logging in and sharing from other apps, and the Public Profile API for creator data. The Public Profile API is the one with subscriber counts, and access to it is granted to approved partners rather than opened to anyone with an app.
What Metrika gives you for Snapchat
Send a username and get back the datapoints we hold for it:
subscriber count and verified status. The identifier is the name
from the profile URL without the @, so snapchat.com/@mrbeast
is mrbeast.
$ curl -X POST https://metrika.run/api/v1/resources/search \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"resources": [{"platform": "snapchat", "type": "account", "identifier": "mrbeast"}]}'
The subscriber count comes back under metrics as followers,
the common name for an audience, with a semantic field of
subscribers so your interface can use Snapchat's own word for
it. Verified status comes back under attributes.
The same request shape everywhere
Snapchat is one of many platforms Metrika supports, alongside Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, GitHub, Twitch, Kick, Telegram, Pinterest, Discord, Reddit, Spotify, and SoundCloud. The request you write here is the request you write for all of them, and that matters because creators rarely stay on one app. The same person has a TikTok account, an Instagram profile, and a YouTube channel, and the useful view is all of them side by side. One token, one response shape, up to ten resources in a single call, mixing platforms freely.
What Metrika is not
Metrika is read-only and public-only. It works with public profiles only, and it will not read stories, Spotlight views, or anything about private accounts. If you need that, Snapchat's partner APIs are the right tool for the job.
